About / Biography

Dr. Upashana Chatterjee Patra holds a Ph.D. and M.Tech in Fibre Science, both from IIT Delhi and a B.Tech in Textile Technology from WBUT, where she was a gold medalist. She secured a GATE Rank of AIR- 09 (GATE 2010) in the domain of Textile Engineering and Fibre Science. She was awarded a two-year Senior Research Fellowship by the Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE), DRDO, Agra. She has authored several book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers, and holds a granted patent.


With a strong background in research and academia, she has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Textile Engineering at Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) since March 2023.
