Dr. Ranjan Kumar Pradhan is currently holding a position of Associate Professor & Head, Department of Biotechnology, and Professor-In-Charge, Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell (IIEC), Odisha University of Technology and Research, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Dr. Pradhan has received his M.Tech degree from Jadavpur University with a specialization in Control Systems Engineering, and his Doctorate degree in Bioengineering in 2008 from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Between 2008 and 2013 he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. During 2014 to 2017 he worked as a Research Investigator (Research Faculty) in the Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology, Medical School, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Since 2018 he has been working as an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Sciences at Odisha University of Technology and Research, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

Dr. Pradhan's research interests are in the broad areas of Biomedical Engineering, Vascular Systems Biology, Physiological Systems Modelling and Control, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Biomedicine, Cardiovascular Physiology, Biomechanics, Bioinformatics, Patient-Specific Modeling and Translational Systems Biology.
